Socanelas FC's Dênis Velloso got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Célio Rezende made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raphael Vargas in the 17th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Socanelas FC's zone, Norbert Glembin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinei Oliveira came out of the goal and Norbert Glembin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Norbert Glembin kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Raphael Vargas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Célio Rezende firmly grabbed it by the left post. Doni Paiva took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Célio Rezende. Célio Rezende dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Norbert Glembin succeeded in the game's 29th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. After 34 minutes of play, Pinheiros Capibaras FC's Roman Pavlyuchenko made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinei Oliveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Socanelas FC's Raphael Vargas got a free kick in the 37th minute. After 39 minutes, Roman Pavlyuchenko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pinheiros Capibaras FC and the Socanelas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th match minute, Pinheiros Capibaras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Pavlyuchenko to maneuver through the defense. When Luís Fabiano Sena fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pinheiros Capibaras FC's protests and gave Luís Fabiano Sena a yellow card for diving instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raphael Vargas in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. The Socanelas FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pinheiros Capibaras FC were winning 1-2.

Socanelas FC made a substitution. Cléberson Bittencourt replaced Doni Paiva. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raphael Vargas made a kick off. Pinheiros Capibaras FC's Célio Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléberson Bittencourt in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Pinheiros Capibaras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fabiano Sena to maneuver through the defense. After 64 minutes, Raphael Vargas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Socanelas FC and the Pinheiros Capibaras FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Claudinei Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85thth minute of the game Cléberson Bittencourt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pinheiros Capibaras FC's Célio Rezende was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Pinheiros Capibaras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Vargas came free, but Célio Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roman Pavlyuchenko succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-4 in the 90th playminute. The supporters of Socanelas FC booed when Pinheiros Capibaras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norbert Glembin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pinheiros Capibaras FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
