Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Santo Amaro AC's Diguinho Ortiz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute Vito Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseu Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The attack was good, but when Gildo Corrêa in the 9th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 14 minutes into the game, João Carlos Mattos lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Eusébio Albuquerque. 17 minutes into the match, New Loser FC's João Pedro Goiano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eusébio Albuquerque narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vito Soeiro during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Santo Amaro AC's Júnior Capixaba got a free kick in the 19th minute. Eusébio Albuquerque stood somewhat misplaced when João Carlos Mattos came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 23 minute. Ricardinho Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Eliseu Negri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of New Loser FC booed when Santo Amaro AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jean Arantes charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jean Arantes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st match minute, Santo Amaro AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Arantes to maneuver through the defense. If João Carlos Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diguinho Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu Negri having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Carlos Mattos in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eusébio Albuquerque saved Santo Amaro AC from getting behind. New Loser FC were furious when Erik Eger was red carded, 41 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for New Loser FC! In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for Santo Amaro AC. Mário Soeiro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eliseu Negri. 2-1. 46 minutes into the match, New Loser FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vito Soeiro came free, but Eliseu Negri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Carlos Mattos made a kick off. In the 60th minute of the game Edu de Moraes made a throw-in which Jean Arantes played forward. In the 62nd minute, Vito Soeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 63 minutes into the game, Olívio Coutinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Loser FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santo Amaro AC the free kick. After a rather tough play, New Loser FC's Olívio Coutinho got a free kick in the 64th minute. 68 minutes in the game Edu de Moraes did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Jean Arantes. Vito Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu Negri having to interfere. New Loser FC made a substitution. Virgílio Diniz replaced João Carlos Mattos. Gildo Corrêa's late challenge caught a Santo Amaro AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gildo Corrêa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th match minute, New Loser FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gildo Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. After 76 played minutes New Loser FC got a freekick which was hit by Olívio Coutinho. A collision led to Santo Amaro AC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Vito Soeiro hit a great ball. If Virgílio Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute of the match, Diguinho Ortiz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eliseu Negri was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Eliseu Negri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardinho Montenegro in the 91st minute. When Virgílio Diniz came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the New Loser FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgílio Diniz couldn't finish the play. New Loser FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Santo Amaro AC for a fine match.
