Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Virgílio Diniz kicked off to start the match. Cássio Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Carlos Mattos's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. João Carlos Mattos might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cássio Castro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Carlos Mattos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 10th minute João Carlos Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Virgílio Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Cássio Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Eugênio Reis fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galo do Cerrado's protests and gave Eugênio Reis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, Eugênio Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. New Loser FC's Erik Eger couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Galo do Cerrado. Galo do Cerrado's Cássio Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Carlos Mattos in the 28th minute of play. After some careless play in the Galo do Cerrado defense, Duarte Azevedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cássio Castro. The Galo do Cerrado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cássio Castro should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Carlos Mattos in the 35th minute of play forced Galo do Cerrado's goalkeeper Cássio Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cássio Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Diniz in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute Duarte Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Marcos Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galo do Cerrado's protests and gave Marcos Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Galo do Cerrado got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Nascimento. New Loser FC's João Carlos Mattos got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Paulo Marinho made a kick off. Erik Eger's late challenge caught a Galo do Cerrado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erik Eger helped the player get up and apologised. Erik Eger hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Duarte Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Cássio Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Galo do Cerrado's José Paulo Marinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eliseu Negri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Cássio Castro made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when João Carlos Mattos sent off a good shot on target. 76 minutes in the game Josué Toscano did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Haroldo Peixoto. João Carlos Mattos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cássio Castro came out and tried to block the shot, but João Carlos Mattos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 80th minute. When José Paulo Marinho fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galo do Cerrado's protests and gave José Paulo Marinho a yellow card for diving instead. José Paulo Marinho hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 85 played minutes New Loser FC got a freekick which was hit by Erik Eger. Eliseu Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Paulo Marinho in the 86th minute of play. Duarte Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio Castro having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Carlos Mattos got free with Cássio Castro in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over New Loser FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Galo do Cerrado throughout the match.
