After a rather tough play, Proteu's Geovani Velloso got a free kick in the 6th minute. Bernardinho Corrêa hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Mário Alvarenga kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Ulysses Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Cosme in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute Luiz Guilherme Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Luís Neiva came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the 20 DE SETEMBRO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Neiva couldn't finish the play. The supporters of 20 DE SETEMBRO booed when Proteu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gugu Tasso didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Luís Neiva came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the 20 DE SETEMBRO fans jumped to their feet. In the 29thth minute of the game Alessandro Neves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Proteu's Ulysses Donato was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 30 minutes, Luís Eduardo Ferraz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Proteu and the 20 DE SETEMBRO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Guilherme Cosme to make the kick off. After 56 minutes, Qu Wei made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. 20 DE SETEMBRO's Walmyr Borges tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alessandro Neves charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Clóvis Corrêa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ulysses Donato. Proteu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luiz Guilherme Cosme in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ulysses Donato, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
