Leonardo Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo do Nascimento in the 10th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Red Dragon FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Arthur de Toledo came free, but Leonardo Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Maria Teixeira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benedito Bastos came out and tried to block the shot, but José Maria Teixeira slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. In the 22nd minute Arthur de Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Trancoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Red Dragon FC - DMZ's Leonardo Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur de Toledo in the 22nd minute of play. Ernesto Dionísio kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Danilo Queirós's late challenge caught a G.E. Juventus FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danilo Queirós helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th minute of the match, Alfredinho Garcia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benedito Bastos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 31st minute, Luiz Fernando Vieira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benedito Bastos. The goal made the score 2-0. Chicão Branco struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Leonardo Trancoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for G.E. Juventus FSCMZ. Leonardo Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, José Maria Teixeira fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 42 minutes into the match, Arthur de Toledo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonardo Trancoso. Red Dragon FC - DMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arthur de Toledo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arthur de Toledo to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Red Dragon FC - DMZ getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Danilo Queirós hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, G.E. Juventus FSCMZ's Jailson Godoi got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After 56 played minutes Red Dragon FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Queirós. 64 minutes into the game, Cleiton Queiroz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Red Dragon FC - DMZ's Ernesto Dionísio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 66 minutes into the match, Red Dragon FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Arthur de Toledo came free, but Leonardo Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, José Maria Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Betão Cosme charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Betão Cosme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, G.E. Juventus FSCMZ's Betão Cosme got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Arthur de Toledo might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonardo Trancoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arthur de Toledo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 81st minute, José Maria Teixeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benedito Bastos was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The supporters of G.E. Juventus FSCMZ booed when Red Dragon FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Maria Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arthur de Toledo got free with Leonardo Trancoso in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, G.E. Juventus FSCMZ's Dito de Senna got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 97th minute, G.E. Juventus FSCMZ's Reynaldo do Nascimento ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leonardo Trancoso. Leonardo Trancoso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. G.E. Juventus FSCMZ's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Red Dragon FC - DMZ had won, even though G.E. Juventus FSCMZ had held more of the ball.
