Cássio Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo de Queirós in the 18th minute of the match. Carlos Alberto Faria hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Paulo Marinho in the 21st minute of play forced Red Dragon FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Leonardo Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Red Dragon FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Leonardo Trancoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leonardo Trancoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Nascimento in the 30th minute of the match. Leonardo Trancoso made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Cássio Matorin sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Alberto Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Trancoso having to interfere. Cássio Castro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Fernando Vieira went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Cássio Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredinho Garcia in the 42nd minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Fernando Vieira to make the kick off. Red Dragon FC - DMZ's Leonardo Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Paulo Marinho in the 62nd minute of play. In the 84th minute José Maria Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernesto Dionísio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Cássio Castro made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Paulo Marinho in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Trancoso saved Red Dragon FC - DMZ from getting behind. The supporters of Red Dragon FC - DMZ booed when Galo do Cerrado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Maria Teixeira in the 93rd minute of play forced Galo do Cerrado's goalkeeper Cássio Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Maria Teixeira in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cássio Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Red Dragon FC - DMZ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
