An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Arósio in the 6th minute of play forced Itajaí Football Club's goalkeeper Christiano Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gino Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson de Senna in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute of the match Itajaí Football Club got a corner. Figueira SC FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manuel Pinho ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Manuel Pinho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Figueira SC FSCMZ's Gino Hoffmann did a great save. Christiano Cearense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evaristo Meira went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 14 minutes into the game, Figueira SC FSCMZ's Simão Pinheiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christiano Cearense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 17th minute Geovani Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20thth minute of the game Geovani Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itajaí Football Club's Christiano Cearense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Simão Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Luís Fabiano Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Figueira SC FSCMZ's Gino Hoffmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílton dos Santos in the 42nd minute of play. Figueira SC FSCMZ's Simão Arósio got his second yellow card of the match in the 43rd minute. The referee ordered Simão Arósio off the ground. Simão Arósio hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Simão Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christiano Cearense having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jailson de Senna to make the kick off. Jailson de Senna succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 51st playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juarês Gerber in the 65th minute of play forced Figueira SC FSCMZ's goalkeeper Gino Hoffmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Itajaí Football Club booed when Figueira SC FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 89 played minutes Figueira SC FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Marques. Gino Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Paulo de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute Luís Fabiano Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovani Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute.
