In the 2nd match minute, Litoral EC - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fan Si Quan in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joélson Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juninho Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho Vander in the 8th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Litoral EC - CIMZ's zone, Teodoro Berger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joélson Carvalho came out of the goal and Teodoro Berger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juninho Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel das Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edvaldo Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fan Si Quan during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fan Si Quan hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute of the match Igor Berger shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juninho Carneiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luís de Godoi charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís de Godoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The tension between the LUIZ PANATO and the Litoral EC - CIMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Litoral EC - CIMZ booed when LUIZ PANATO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betinho Vasconcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Litoral EC - CIMZ's Ulisses Munhoz got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to LUIZ PANATO getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Luís de Godoi hit a great ball. Juninho Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho Vander in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Fan Si Quan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Betinho Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Fan Si Quan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Joélson Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teodoro Berger in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joélson Carvalho saved Litoral EC - CIMZ from getting behind. The supporters of LUIZ PANATO booed when Litoral EC - CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Augusto Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the match, LUIZ PANATO's Walmir Freire sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joélson Carvalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Litoral EC - CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Fan Si Quan came free, but Joélson Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. LUIZ PANATO were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Litoral EC - CIMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Walmir Freire took the corner. Fan Si Quan was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When Guga Arruda came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the LUIZ PANATO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guga Arruda couldn't finish the play. Joélson Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guga Arruda in the 90th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Litoral EC - CIMZ's Noel das Neves got a free kick in the 91st minute. Despite being the better team, LUIZ PANATO failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
