Vito de Andrade charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vito de Andrade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After recieving a nice pass, Jipa RO's Marcus Souto tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Pereiras FC's Vânderson Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvaldo Pombal in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to Jipa RO getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Oséas Pires hit a great ball. If Luís Guilherme Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Jipa RO's zone, Silas Soeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dagoberto Trancoso came out of the goal and Silas Soeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edvaldo Pombal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vânderson Botelho having to make a save. 33 minutes into the match, Pereiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edvaldo Pombal came free, but Vânderson Botelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aloísio Fernandez in the 41st minute of play forced Pereiras FC's goalkeeper Vânderson Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dagoberto Trancoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enio Palmeira in the 43rd minute. After a rather tough play, Jipa RO's Oséas Pires got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 45th minute of the match Enio Palmeira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dagoberto Trancoso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edvaldo Pombal was the one to do the kick off. Dagoberto Trancoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enio Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 58 minutes into the match, Luís Guilherme Trancoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dagoberto Trancoso. Jipa RO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Guilherme Trancoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 62 minutes into the match, Pereiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Tasso came free, but Vânderson Botelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enio Palmeira scored 5-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dagoberto Trancoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 71st minute, Oséas Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oséas Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Silas Soeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dagoberto Trancoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silas Soeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Silas Soeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Dagoberto Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Pereiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Tasso came free, but Vânderson Botelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vânderson Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvaldo Pombal in the 83rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Silas Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pereiras FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silas Soeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dagoberto Trancoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vânderson Botelho was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edvaldo Pombal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-1 in the 87 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pereiras FC had won after a very even match.
