Aloísio de Almeida was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 19 minutes into the match. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chester Bennington! Chester Bennington:s Juvenal Valladares showed great skill when he stopped Thomás Gaspar:s penalty. After 28 minutes of play, Chester Bennington's Pedrão Vides made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evaristo Siqueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Natã Rossi in the 31st minute of play forced Chester Bennington's goalkeeper Juvenal Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juvenal Valladares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natã Rossi in the 34th minute of play. Reinaldo Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Siqueira having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Gaúcho in the 41st minute of play forced Floripa Lions FSCMZ's goalkeeper Evaristo Siqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Nestor Vinhas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chester Bennington's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Floripa Lions FSCMZ the free kick. The supporters of Floripa Lions FSCMZ booed when Chester Bennington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Thomás Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomás Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chester Bennington's Nestor Vinhas got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabiano Gaúcho made a kick off. Natã Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Valladares having to interfere. If Betão Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Chester Bennington's Róbson de Toledo got a free kick in the 71st minute. 71 minutes into the match, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Thomás Gaspar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal Valladares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Juvenal Valladares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredão Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute, Betão Silva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Floripa Lions FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. With an all-out effort, Chester Bennington's Evaristo Siqueira threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fabiano Gaúcho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredão Castro in the 85th minute of play forced Chester Bennington's goalkeeper Juvenal Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reinaldo Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Evaristo Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Luiz Fernando Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Floripa Lions FSCMZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chester Bennington had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
