Rony Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorian Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mochila FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Tadeu Sarmento scored to the left of an out of position Tostão Varela, making the score, 0-1. 77 minutes into the match, Alvinegro Carioca's Elias Pereira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tostão Varela narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alvinegro Carioca's Rony Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nildo Barral in the 83rd minute of play. When Hermínio Ferraz fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alvinegro Carioca's protests and gave Hermínio Ferraz a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Alvinegro Carioca's Hermínio Ferraz got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The Mochila FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Alvinegro Carioca's performance. The match ended with a win for Alvinegro Carioca.
