Chicão Guerra struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Tostão Varela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Motta Futebol Clube. Tostão Varela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chicão Guerra's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. After 14 played minutes Mochila FC got a freekick which was hit by Walmir Falcão. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Chicão Guerra sped through Mochila FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tostão Varela. Mochila FC's Tostão Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chicão Guerra in the 18th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Juarês de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mochila FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juarês de Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldinho Arósio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th match minute, Motta Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Motta to maneuver through the defense. After 34 minutes, Chicão Guerra made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Mochila FC's Tostão Varela tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Mochila FC defense, Chicão Guerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tostão Varela. The Mochila FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tostão Varela should have stopped the shot. Tostão Varela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chicão Guerra's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Tostão Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chicão Guerra in the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Motta Futebol Clube made a substitution. Ezequiel Matorin replaced Chicão Guerra. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ezequiel Matorin made a kick off. In the 53rd play minute Luís Eduardo Reis came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tostão Varela. 0-5. Cícero Porto made in the 57th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luís Eduardo Reis. Tostão Varela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Eduardo Reis went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Ezequiel Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the match, Mochila FC's goalkeeper Tostão Varela had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ezequiel Matorin. A collision led to Mochila FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Juarês de Sousa hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Juarês de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mochila FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juarês de Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tostão Varela made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Luís Eduardo Reis sent off a good shot on target. Luís Eduardo Reis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Tostão Varela made a huge save. With his leg Tostão Varela managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Motta Futebol Clube's Ezequiel Matorin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ezequiel Matorin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Tostão Varela skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 89 minutes, Walmir Falcão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mochila FC and the Motta Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, one of Mochila FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mochila FC. Ezequiel Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Motta Futebol Clube played a much better game than Mochila FC and deserved their victory. The Mochila FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
