Marquês de Herval's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Motta Futebol Clube the free kick. Marcus Simões hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute, Zé Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 8 minutes, Wanderson Sampaio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Motta Futebol Clube and the Marquês de Herval players grew even worse after the yellow card. Juarês de Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chicão Guerra's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Juarês de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chicão Guerra in the 12th minute of play. Juarês de Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kaká Salles's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Eduardo Reis in the 16th minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Juarês de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Motta Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Motta Futebol Clube's Joélson Nogueira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Joélson Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 29 minutes, Chicão Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Motta Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chicão Guerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chicão Guerra in the 30th minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Juarês de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Joélson Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldinho Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Bastos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronaldinho Arósio made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Marcus Simões sent off a good shot on target. Juarês de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joélson Nogueira in the 40th minute of play. Marquês de Herval's Juarês de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chicão Guerra in the 41st minute of play. Giovani Fernandes charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giovani Fernandes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Giovani Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Juarês de Amaral came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Motta Futebol Clube's Chicão Guerra. But to his dismay, Chicão Guerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Motta Futebol Clube made a substitution. Ezequiel Matorin replaced Chicão Guerra. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ezequiel Matorin made a kick off. Juarês de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel Matorin in the 55th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reginaldo Furlan during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Marquês de Herval's Reginaldo Furlan got a free kick in the 57th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goal looked a bit too open when Serafim Cabral came free, but Juarês de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juarês de Amaral came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Motta Futebol Clube's Joélson Nogueira. But to his dismay, Joélson Nogueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. 71 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Juarês de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ezequiel Matorin. Motta Futebol Clube's Ronaldinho Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Braga in the 72nd minute of play. Wanderson Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Marquês de Herval's zone, Luís Eduardo Reis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juarês de Amaral came out of the goal and Luís Eduardo Reis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With splendid footwork Ezequiel Matorin arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-5 by the left pole in the game's 78th minute. Luís Eduardo Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juarês de Amaral having to interfere. Zé Batista hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. When Ezequiel Matorin fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Motta Futebol Clube's protests and gave Ezequiel Matorin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th minute, Ezequiel Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Eduardo Reis scored 0-6 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juarês de Amaral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Marquês de Herval's Giovani Fernandes got a free kick in the 89th minute. Marquês de Herval's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Joélson Nogueira scored to the left of an out of position Juarês de Amaral, making the score, 0-7. The supporters of Motta Futebol Clube booed when Marquês de Herval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseu Braga hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
