Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Régis Coutinho made the kick off and thus started the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dário Schmidt got free with Sílvio Zonta in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th match minute, TAQUARI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Freitas to maneuver through the defense. Dário Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Régis Coutinho in the 11th minute of play forced TAQUARI FC's goalkeeper Sílvio Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Valdir Peres notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC St. Pauli's Guilherme Mendonça. Guilherme Mendonça was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. TAQUARI FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Régis Coutinho 21 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Sílvio Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Régis Coutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Valdir Peres made a precise shot to the right of Guilherme Mendonça. FC St. Pauli's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After 36 minutes of play, TAQUARI FC's Felipe Queiroz made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guilherme Mendonça was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Dário Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dário Schmidt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sílvio Zonta firmly grabbed it by the left post.

The wind increased when Bruninho Silva made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to TAQUARI FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Carlos Fernando Ramalho hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dário Schmidt in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sílvio Zonta saved TAQUARI FC from getting behind. A collision led to FC St. Pauli getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Basílio Moura hit a great ball. Dário Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 70 minutes into the match, TAQUARI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dário Schmidt came free, but Sílvio Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 75 minutes on the clock, Josué Brito commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in TAQUARI FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! The referee gave FC St. Pauli a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Régis Coutinho, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of TAQUARI FC's Sílvio Zonta. 2-4. Sílvio Zonta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dário Schmidt in the 83rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the TAQUARI FC defense, Eduardo Moreno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sílvio Zonta. The TAQUARI FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sílvio Zonta should have stopped the shot. Sílvio Zonta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Régis Coutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 93rd match minute, TAQUARI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vivaldo Leão to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched TAQUARI FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
