Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jacinto Munhoz made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the game, Jacinto Munhoz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. João Carlos Simões was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 7 minutes, Luciano Barral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Diamond Football Club and the FC St. Pauli players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luciano Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Diamond Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Munhoz came free, but João Carlos Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquinhos de Amorim in the 12th minute of play forced Diamond Football Club's goalkeeper João Carlos Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Marquinhos de Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Diamond Football Club getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Elder Arruda hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Diamond Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Marquinhos de Sousa came free, but João Carlos Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jacinto Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. João Carlos Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquinhos de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacinto Munhoz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Edmílson Toscano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC St. Pauli's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diamond Football Club the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC St. Pauli's Edmílson Toscano got a free kick in the 37th minute. After 45 played minutes Diamond Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Rafa Marques. 46 minutes into the match, Diamond Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Dário Schmidt came free, but João Carlos Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marquinhos de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Munhoz in the 52nd minute of play forced Diamond Football Club's goalkeeper João Carlos Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Carlos Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquinhos de Amorim in the 53rd minute of the match. João Carlos Simões made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Marquinhos de Sousa sent off a good shot on target. João Carlos Simões was a little too slow when Arí Britto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-4. Diamond Football Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Arí Britto scored to the left of an out of position João Carlos Simões, making the score, 0-5. 80 minutes into the match, Diamond Football Club's goalkeeper João Carlos Simões had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arí Britto. In the 82nd minute, Jacinto Munhoz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of João Carlos Simões. The goal made the score 0-7. After 85 played minutes Diamond Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Décio Motta. Diamond Football Club's João Carlos Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Munhoz in the 86th minute of play. A collision led to FC St. Pauli getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Marquinhos de Sousa hit a great ball. With his leg João Carlos Simões managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when FC St. Pauli's Arí Britto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Renato Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute, FC St. Pauli's Jacinto Munhoz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. The FC St. Pauli supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC St. Pauli would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
