Caetano Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espigão Steamrollers. In the 8th match minute, Icoara Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Rosa to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Espigão Steamrollers booed when Icoara Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrício Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Icoara Football Club from getting a goal against them. Emerson Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrício Rosa in the 20th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Icoara Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Válter Dantas came free, but Caetano Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Cauã Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fabrício Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Válter Dantas in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caetano Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Valdo Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. If Wesley Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Icoara Football Club from getting a goal against them. Egídio Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Egídio Lucas made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Carlos Paranaense in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caetano Monteiro saved Icoara Football Club from getting behind. After some careless play in the Icoara Football Club defense, Válter Dantas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Caetano Monteiro. The Icoara Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Caetano Monteiro should have stopped the shot. When Zé Carlos Paranaense came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Espigão Steamrollers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Carlos Paranaense couldn't finish the play. Caetano Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Quadros in the 66th minute of play. Caetano Monteiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vicente Catarinense went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. When Espigão Steamrollers's Válter Dantas in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Icoara Football Club's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Icoara Football Club's Carlinhos Negri got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos Paranaense in the 83rd minute of play. Caetano Monteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Válter Dantas's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Caetano Monteiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Válter Dantas went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Espigão Steamrollers had played much better football throughout.
