GeRaÇãO-83's Luciano Dionísio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save GeRaÇãO-83 from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Gracie Barra booed when GeRaÇãO-83 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruninho Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oséias Aguiar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. But to his dismay, Gustavo Xavier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. GeRaÇãO-83's Luciano Dionísio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save GeRaÇãO-83 from getting a goal against them. Luciano Dionísio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar de Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baltazar de Amorim took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luciano Dionísio. Luciano Dionísio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 38th minute Aílton Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Dionísio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 minutes of play, Gracie Barra's Thiti Machado made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luciano Dionísio was left in no man's land by his defense there! 44 minutes into the match, Flavinho Koehler notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of GeRaÇãO-83's Luciano Dionísio. Luciano Dionísio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aílton Mota to strike the kick off in the second half. GeRaÇãO-83's Luciano Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar de Amorim in the 51st minute of play. Dorian Gonçalves charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
