Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® were furious when Toninho da Cunha was red carded, 30 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Toninho da Cunha got a free kick in the 30th minute. The long shot by Zé Carlos Paranaense in the 31st minute really tested Julio-César Goacher's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Zé Carlos Paranaense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio-César Goacher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovanni Pimenta, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute, Cristian Quirino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Julio-César Goacher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanni Pimenta in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Nildo Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovanni Pimenta in the 69th minute of play forced Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s goalkeeper Julio-César Goacher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Espigão Steamrollers were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. After 90 played minutes Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® got a freekick which was hit by Percival Leal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
