Cássio Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão de Salles in the 3rd minute of the match. Cido Vasconcelos hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the match, ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Donatello came free, but Cássio Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Luís Nunes charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Luís Nunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute, André Luís Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Paulo Meirelles in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cássio Gaspar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristóvão de Salles struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Cássio Gaspar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abutres 2003 FDP. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Murillo Bittencourt in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cássio Gaspar saved ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS from getting behind. After some careless play in the ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS defense, Luiz Paulo Meirelles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cássio Gaspar. The ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cássio Gaspar should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Luiz Paulo Meirelles put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Cássio Gaspar. Cássio Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Meirelles in the 30th minute of play. When Abutres 2003 FDP's Murillo Bittencourt in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's goalie prevented a goal. Gilberto Couto hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Luiz Paulo Meirelles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cássio Gaspar was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. In the 41st minute, Cristóvão de Salles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cássio Gaspar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Cristóvão de Salles took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cássio Gaspar. Cássio Gaspar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristóvão de Salles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 59 minutes, Cristóvão de Salles made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's Cássio Gaspar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's Cássio Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão de Salles in the 64th minute of play. When Aloísio Sergipano fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's protests and gave Aloísio Sergipano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th minute, Aloísio Sergipano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cássio Gaspar was a little too slow when Cristóvão de Salles got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 0-8. 73 minutes into the match, Cristóvão de Salles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cássio Gaspar. ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristóvão de Salles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. In the 76th minute, Abutres 2003 FDP's Cristóvão de Salles ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cássio Gaspar. Cássio Gaspar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. In the 81st minute, Abutres 2003 FDP's Chicão Ramos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-11. The crowd rose to their feet as Abutres 2003 FDP's Cristóvão de Salles slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cássio Gaspar. That made the score 0-12 after 84 minutes of play. With a little luck, ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's Cássio Gaspar got control of the ball when Luiz Paulo Meirelles tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abutres 2003 FDP's Cristóvão de Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cássio Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão de Salles in the 96th minute of the match.
