Ciro Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Nóbrega in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the game, Geraldo Queirós cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ciro Cardozo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 7th minute, Murillo Bittencourt made a precise shot to the right of Ciro Cardozo. Desportivo Coala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If Geraldo Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Desportivo Coala's Cláudio Velasco got a free kick in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão de Salles in the 12th minute of play forced Desportivo Coala's goalkeeper Ciro Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erik Donatello made in the 15th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cristóvão de Salles however managed to control. After a rather tough play, Desportivo Coala's Júlio Berger got a free kick in the 16th minute. Ciro Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Donatello in the 17th minute of play. Luiz Nóbrega hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Desportivo Coala's Cauã Novaes managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Claudinei Ceresso in the 22 minute of the game. 23 minutes into the match, Desportivo Coala's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Nóbrega came free, but Ciro Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Ceresso in the 25th minute of play forced Desportivo Coala's goalkeeper Ciro Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guilherme Hermes hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Desportivo Coala's Ciro Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murillo Bittencourt in the 31st minute of play. Marinho Maringá's late challenge caught a Abutres 2003 FDP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marinho Maringá helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Abutres 2003 FDP booed when Desportivo Coala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marinho Maringá didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Murillo Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murillo Bittencourt scored 0-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciro Cardozo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ciro Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murillo Bittencourt, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. A collision led to Desportivo Coala getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ricardo Netto hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute Claudinei Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Desportivo Coala defense, Murillo Bittencourt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciro Cardozo. The Desportivo Coala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciro Cardozo should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristóvão de Salles made a kick off. In the 54th minute Claudinei Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th match minute, Desportivo Coala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Netto to maneuver through the defense. Ciro Cardozo made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Murillo Bittencourt sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute of the match, Geraldo Queirós tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ciro Cardozo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 60 minutes in the game Erik Donatello did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Cristóvão de Salles. Ciro Cardozo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Murillo Bittencourt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 61 minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Claudinei Ceresso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciro Cardozo. Desportivo Coala's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudinei Ceresso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Ciro Cardozo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão de Salles in the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Cláudio Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Desportivo Coala's Ciro Cardozo got control of the ball when Arlindo Teixeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Desportivo Coala's goalkeeper Ciro Cardozo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Murillo Bittencourt. In the 85th minute, Abutres 2003 FDP's Murillo Bittencourt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ciro Cardozo. Ciro Cardozo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. After 87 played minutes Abutres 2003 FDP got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Ceresso. Ciro Cardozo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arlindo Teixeira in the 94th minute. With a little luck, Desportivo Coala's Ciro Cardozo got control of the ball when Luiz Nóbrega tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Desportivo Coala fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Abutres 2003 FDP were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
