Hermínio Silva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elder Tróia went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Clemente Hermes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silas de Lima in the 12th minute of the match. Amauri de Barros struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Hermínio Silva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romando Futebol Clube. Guga Pinho's late challenge caught a Vila Zumbi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guga Pinho helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Vila Zumbi booed when Romando Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guga Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Elder Tróia notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Vila Zumbi's Hermínio Silva. Hermínio Silva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With 46 minutes on the clock, Guga Pinho commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a rather tough play, Romando Futebol Clube's Guga Pinho got a free kick in the 46th minute. Sandro Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sílvio Queirós made a kick off. A collision led to Vila Zumbi getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Vicente Branco hit a great ball. Vicente Branco's late challenge caught a Romando Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Romando Futebol Clube's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
