The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Zebus FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Inter Gala:s goal. After 46 played minutes Zebus FC got a freekick which was hit by Dave Lombardo. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celso Araújo was the one to do the kick off. Zebus FC's Aloísio Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Araújo in the 52nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celso Araújo in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aloísio Pirani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Agostinho Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Inter Gala booed when Zebus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dave Lombardo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
