If Gilmar de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Pindorama booed when ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Kanes short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Dida Silva to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 27 minutes, Benjamin Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pindorama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Travassos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the game, Narciso Nogueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pindorama the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nelsinho Meira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
