Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dida Coelho got the match started through his kick off. Lino Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Vicente Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Dragões Barbudos FC's zone, Lenílson Mello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Fantini came out of the goal and Lenílson Mello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Dragões Barbudos FC booed when Zebus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Eduardo Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lino Luz got free with Vicente Fantini in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Dragões Barbudos FC defense, Dida Coelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vicente Fantini. The Dragões Barbudos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vicente Fantini should have stopped the shot. Dragões Barbudos FC's Oscar Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Dragões Barbudos FC's Ramón Leão got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After 43 played minutes, Zebus FC's Ivo Salgado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vicente Fantini came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zebus FC reached it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramón Leão to make the kick off. Dragões Barbudos FC's Vicente Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Luz in the 55th minute of play. In the 61st minute of the match Clemente Netto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vicente Fantini skillfully saved the ball. In the 62nd minute, Dida Coelho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vicente Fantini was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Vicente Fantini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dida Coelho's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Vicente Fantini came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Zebus FC's Dida Coelho. But to his dismay, Dida Coelho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Dida Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Vicente Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Luz in the 84th minute of the match. Vicente Fantini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dida Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
