In the 22nd minute, Kaká Goiano made a precise shot to the right of Dalmo Félix. Unidade Pinto Louco's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Dalmo Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Didi Gaúcho in the 27th minute of the match. The AF CERRADO fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when AF CERRADO's Didi Gaúcho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jefferson Aparecido charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jefferson Aparecido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, AF CERRADO's Jefferson Aparecido got a free kick in the 33rd minute. AF CERRADO's José Augusto de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Pinto in the 35th minute of play. Kaká Goiano charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Acácio Domingues couldn't finish the play. The Unidade Pinto Louco players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AF CERRADO were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kaká Goiano was the one to do the kick off. Edgard Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Augusto de Godoi having to interfere. Didi Gaúcho's late challenge caught a Unidade Pinto Louco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Didi Gaúcho helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes AF CERRADO got a freekick which was hit by Didi Gaúcho. In the 72nd minute, AF CERRADO's Kaká Goiano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dalmo Félix. Dalmo Félix yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. After 75 played minutes AF CERRADO got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho Leal. Dalmo Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká Goiano in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to Unidade Pinto Louco getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Egídio Capixaba hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the game, one of Unidade Pinto Louco:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to AF CERRADO getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Armandinho de Salles hit a great ball. Dalmo Félix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Didi Gaúcho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Unidade Pinto Louco fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AF CERRADO were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
