The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fausto Aguiar during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of BUZZIDA FC -DMZ- booed when Joinville Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute, Júlio Valladares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The player immediately received a yellow card. 8 minutes into the match, BUZZIDA FC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Deivid Vaz came free, but Douglas Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hélio Furtado hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute of the match Afonsinho Cerezo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wellington Montenegro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 12 played minutes BUZZIDA FC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Albertinho Teixeira. In the 12th minute of the match Hélio Furtado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Douglas Tasso skillfully saved the ball. Fausto Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Douglas Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to BUZZIDA FC -DMZ- getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Amadeu Prado hit a great ball. After 21 played minutes Joinville Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Leal. In the 22nd minute of the match Alfredão Amaral shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wellington Montenegro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Joaquim Donatello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Wellington Montenegro made a huge save. Douglas Tasso came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Joinville Esporte Clube's Deivid Vaz. But to his dismay, Deivid Vaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The supporters of BUZZIDA FC -DMZ- booed when Joinville Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luiz Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albertinho Teixeira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wellington Montenegro. Joinville Esporte Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquim Donatello to make the kick off. After recieving a nice pass, Joinville Esporte Clube's Hélio Furtado tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deivid Vaz in the 55th minute of play forced BUZZIDA FC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Douglas Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57 played minutes Joinville Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by José Paulo Sousa. In the 58th minute André Luiz Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Joinville Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. André Luiz Esteves hit a great ball. Orlando Vides's late challenge caught a Joinville Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlando Vides helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Orlando Vides hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 68 played minutes Joinville Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Hélio Furtado. 77 minutes into the game, BUZZIDA FC -DMZ-'s Joaquim Donatello nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wellington Montenegro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Joinville Esporte Clube's Wellington Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Prado in the 83rd minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Alfredão Amaral notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Joinville Esporte Clube's Wellington Montenegro. Wellington Montenegro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Many of Joinville Esporte Clube's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Joinville Esporte Clube may have spent more time on the ball, but BUZZIDA FC -DMZ- were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
