The crowd rose to their feet as Mauro Meireles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fabiano Lucas. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Rapinantes F.C.'s goalkeeper Fabiano Lucas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celsinho Xavier. Celsinho Xavier struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Fabiano Lucas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fala Sério FC. Thanks to some nice moves Celsinho Xavier could shoot a difficult shot in the 12th minute, which Fabiano Lucas however easily saved by the left post. Fabiano Lucas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Meireles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celsinho Xavier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Fabiano Lucas made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lino Diniz in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celso Brito saved Fala Sério FC from getting behind. Fabiano Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celsinho Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When Enrique Fernandes fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fala Sério FC's protests and gave Enrique Fernandes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th match minute, Fala Sério FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugênio Couto to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 34 minutes, Dé Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fala Sério FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dé Linares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sidnei Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Enrique Fernandes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabiano Lucas. Enrique Fernandes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Fabiano Lucas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celsinho Xavier in the 44th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lino Diniz to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elano de Sousa in the 54th minute of play forced Rapinantes F.C.'s goalkeeper Fabiano Lucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rapinantes F.C.'s Fabiano Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Meireles in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Fala Sério FC's Celsinho Xavier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabiano Lucas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 60 minutes into the match, Fala Sério FC's goalkeeper Celso Brito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruninho Brasil. With a little luck, Fala Sério FC's Celso Brito got control of the ball when Bruninho Brasil tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Fala Sério FC defense, Bruninho Brasil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celso Brito. The Fala Sério FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celso Brito should have stopped the shot. 70 minutes into the match, Celsinho Xavier notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Rapinantes F.C.'s Fabiano Lucas. Fabiano Lucas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fabiano Lucas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Fernandes in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Mauro Meireles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fala Sério FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. 81 minutes into the game, Enrique Fernandes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Fabiano Lucas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fala Sério FC's Celso Brito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Fala Sério FC from getting a goal against them. Mauro Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Rapinantes F.C.'s Fabiano Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Fernandes in the 88th minute of play. Celsinho Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
