An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Meirelles in the 9th minute of play forced Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ's goalkeeper Cristiano Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Maurinho Porto fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ's protests and gave Maurinho Porto a yellow card for diving instead. Maurinho Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcus Meirelles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristiano Albuquerque. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Eliseu Linhares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Cristiano Albuquerque made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Eliseu Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xurupita FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseu Linhares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Albuquerque breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eliseu Linhares charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseu Linhares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Xurupita FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. After 33 minutes of play, Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ's Alexandre de Lara made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The supporters of Xurupita FC booed when Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurinho Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Marcus Meirelles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristiano Albuquerque was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 43rd minute, Xurupita FC's Paulo José Paulista seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Paulo José Paulista the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Xurupita FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Paulo José Paulista had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 42nd minute, one of Xurupita FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Xurupita FC. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

51 minutes into the game, Claudinei Almeida was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xurupita FC the free kick. Claudinei Almeida hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Amauri Barbosa's late challenge caught a Xurupita FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amauri Barbosa helped the player get up and apologised. Amauri Barbosa hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. If Eliseu Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. José Paulo Cardozo charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Paulo Cardozo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 65 minutes into the match, Xurupita FC's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amauri Barbosa. Cristiano Albuquerque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseu Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristiano Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arí Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the match, Eliseu Linhares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristiano Albuquerque. Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliseu Linhares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. With a little luck, Xurupita FC's Luiz Fábio Amorim got control of the ball when Amauri Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luiz Fábio Amorim made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Amauri Barbosa sent off a good shot on target. Francisco da Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After 92 played minutes Xurupita FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Barros. Xurupita FC's Arí Mangueira got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
