In the 3rd minute, Pedro Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Xapetuba Futebol Clube's zone, Marquinhos Vianna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geraldo Urbano came out of the goal and Marquinhos Vianna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 10 minutes into the game, Vivaldo Paes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luiz Gustavo Eger. Vivaldo Paes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Romário Nóbrega struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Geraldo Urbano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Templários MZC. Templários MZC's Luiz Gustavo Eger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Templários MZC from getting a goal against them. Luiz Gustavo Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Geraldo Urbano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vivaldo Paes got free with Luiz Gustavo Eger in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the game, Germano Loyola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Templários MZC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xapetuba Futebol Clube the free kick. In the 26th match minute, Templários MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germano Loyola to maneuver through the defense. Geraldo Urbano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gildo das Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gildo das Neves in the 30th minute of play forced Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Geraldo Urbano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geraldo Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germano Loyola in the 35th minute of play. Luiz Gustavo Eger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Paes in the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Paraíba in the 38th minute of play forced Templários MZC's goalkeeper Luiz Gustavo Eger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vivaldo Paes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Luiz Gustavo Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the game, Vivaldo Paes lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Luiz Gustavo Eger. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The wind increased when Jânio de Barros made the kick off in the second half. Cesinha Palmeira charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cesinha Palmeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Xapetuba Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Cesinha Palmeira hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the match, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jânio de Barros came free, but Geraldo Urbano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Gustavo Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vivaldo Paes in the 56th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Templários MZC got a freekick which was hit by Jânio de Barros. Marquinhos Vianna kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Luiz Gustavo Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Luiz Gustavo Eger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Paes in the 63rd minute of the match. Romário Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Urbano having to interfere. Vivaldo Paes took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Gustavo Eger. Luiz Gustavo Eger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Geraldo Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gildo das Neves in the 78th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Vivaldo Paes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Gustavo Eger. Templários MZC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vivaldo Paes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Templários MZC's Luiz Gustavo Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Berger in the 86th minute of play. Vivaldo Paes struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Luiz Gustavo Eger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xapetuba Futebol Clube. Gildo das Neves received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Geraldo Urbano came out and tried to block the shot, but Gildo das Neves slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 93rd minute. Xapetuba Futebol Clube were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Templários MZC for a fine match.
