The Coice de Mula players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nova Iguaçu MZFC were winning 0-4.

The wind increased when Jardel Mula made the kick off in the second half. Luiz Fábio Leme struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Pedro Lucas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nova Iguaçu MZFC. Lúcio Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jardel Mula in the 54th minute of the match. Jardel Mula might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lúcio Domingues. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Lucas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cássio Aparecido went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. 84 minutes into the game, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Luiz Fábio Leme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Lucas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Coice de Mula's Timeteo Mula got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Nova Iguaçu MZFC's zone, Jardel Mula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lúcio Domingues came out of the goal and Jardel Mula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
