Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Elói Senna got the match started through his kick off. Percival Tavares made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Cássio Aparecido sent off a good shot on target. Luiz Fábio Leme's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Percival Tavares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 19 played minutes Inter de São Paulo got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Nascimento. Percival Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Senna in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Tomás Marques hit a great ball. Luiz Fábio Leme in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Percival Tavares, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Inter de São Paulo's Percival Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói Senna in the 29th minute of play. After 30 minutes of play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Elói Senna made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Percival Tavares was left in no man's land by his defense there! 32 minutes into the game, Elói Senna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter de São Paulo the free kick. The supporters of Inter de São Paulo booed when Nova Iguaçu MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elói Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Inter de São Paulo's goalkeeper Percival Tavares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Fábio Leme. Percival Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Senna in the 36th minute of play. If Cássio Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Fábio Leme got free with Percival Tavares in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 43 minutes into the match, Inter de São Paulo's goalkeeper Percival Tavares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elói Senna. 47 minutes into the game, Cássio Aparecido recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Percival Tavares. Cássio Aparecido showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Inter de São Paulo's Celsinho Bittencourt got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 53 played minutes, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Elói Senna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Percival Tavares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nova Iguaçu MZFC reached it. 55 minutes into the match, Inter de São Paulo's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio Aparecido came free, but Percival Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Fábio Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percival Tavares having to interfere. After 58 played minutes Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Arlindo Madureira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elói Senna in the 66th minute of play forced Inter de São Paulo's goalkeeper Percival Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Isaltino de Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Inter de São Paulo getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Carlos Nascimento hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Elói Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elói Senna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Percival Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th minute, Elói Senna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Percival Tavares was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Inter de São Paulo's Percival Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fábio Leme in the 80th minute of play. Luiz Fábio Leme took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Percival Tavares. Percival Tavares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Inter de São Paulo's Percival Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Aparecido in the 88th minute of play. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Elói Senna sped through Inter de São Paulo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Percival Tavares. In the 96th minute Cássio Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percival Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Nova Iguaçu MZFC were the better team. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
