Thibault Mamardashvili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabien Barthez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Rezende in the 21st minute of the match. Fabien Barthez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Senna in the 24th minute of play. Válbson Aguiar struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Thibault Mamardashvili didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ. After a rather tough play, Coice de Mula's Henrique Antunes got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Coice de Mula's zone, Dimitri Payet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thibault Mamardashvili came out of the goal and Dimitri Payet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 41 minutes of play, Coice de Mula's Henrique Antunes made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabien Barthez was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 46th minute Wanderson da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabien Barthez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dimitri Payet to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Coice de Mula getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. João Vítor de Mendonça hit a great ball. Fabien Barthez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson da Mata in the 54th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Wiliam Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thibault Mamardashvili breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 63rd minute Wanderson da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabien Barthez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 played minutes Coice de Mula got a freekick which was hit by Hudson Veloso.
