MarquinhosEC's Alfredo Loyola suffered a sore thigh after 27 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Hudson Veloso's late challenge caught a MarquinhosEC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hudson Veloso helped the player get up and apologised. MarquinhosEC made a substitution. Natã Dias replaced Alfredo Loyola. A collision led to Coice de Mula getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Thibault Mamardashvili was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ciro Simões showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 37 minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over MarquinhosEC's much stronger midfield.
