Wambalamba FC's Naldo Mello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fábio Velasco in the 3rd minute of play. The supporters of Wambalamba FC booed when SANTOS FC- FDFDF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fábio Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to SANTOS FC- FDFDF getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Luiz Fábio Velasco hit a great ball. Perivaldo Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinei Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wambalamba FC were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after SANTOS FC- FDFDF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dinei Goiano took the corner. The corner led to Wambalamba FC's Adhemar da Fonseca getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 14th minute Leonel Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perivaldo Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wambalamba FC's Elias Marquez pulled a muscle in his leg after 16 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Eusébio Sanches charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eusébio Sanches the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eusébio Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Couto in the 21st minute of play forced SANTOS FC- FDFDF's goalkeeper Perivaldo Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perivaldo Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renan Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Leonel Couto made a precise shot to the right of Perivaldo Salles. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dinei Goiano got free with Perivaldo Salles in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Leonel Couto came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Wambalamba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Couto couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dinei Goiano in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Perivaldo Salles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dinei Goiano was the one to do the kick off. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Perivaldo Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adhemar da Fonseca in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute of the match Dinei Goiano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Perivaldo Salles showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Renan Guimarães struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Perivaldo Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wambalamba FC. Perivaldo Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinei Goiano in the 57th minute of the match. Adhemar da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to SANTOS FC- FDFDF getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Didi Andrade hit a great ball. Dinei Goiano, 63 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 66 minutes, Adhemar da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wambalamba FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adhemar da Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Dinei Goiano made a precise shot to the right of Perivaldo Salles. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Belmiro Cerezo in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Perivaldo Salles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to SANTOS FC- FDFDF getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Didi Andrade hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Renan Guimarães made a precise shot to the right of Perivaldo Salles. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Adhemar da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Salles having to interfere. Wambalamba FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
