The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Luiz Gustavo Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Aurora FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Carlos Eduardo Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Percy Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Eduardo Jacinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andrézinho Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Renatinho Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonel Loureiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Percy Palmeira made a huge save. Percy Palmeira was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Andrézinho Rossi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Andrézinho Rossi really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Aurora FC's Dedé Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silas de Salles in the 28th minute of play. Aurora FC's Carlos Eduardo Jacinto got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to JURIDIQUES F.C getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Anselmo Koehler hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Renatinho Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hernani Quirino was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Aurora FC defense, Cristiano Romário kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dedé Dante. The Aurora FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dedé Dante should have stopped the shot. Anselmo Koehler charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anselmo Koehler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hernani Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Percy Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hernani Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, JURIDIQUES F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Hernani Quirino came free, but Percy Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Percy Palmeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrézinho Rossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Andrézinho Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Percy Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
