Donzel Abasalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramiro Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Qijua F.C's goalkeeper Donzel Abasalo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Guilherme Barreto. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erling Haaland in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serafim Mesquita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Donzel Abasalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Barreto in the 21st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Guilherme Barreto in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donzel Abasalo saved Qijua F.C from getting behind. In the 26th minute Luiz Guilherme Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donzel Abasalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donzel Abasalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Guilherme Barreto in the 28th minute of play forced Qijua F.C's goalkeeper Donzel Abasalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alessandro Mandrak might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donzel Abasalo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alessandro Mandrak ran back to his position shaking his head. Luiz Guilherme Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Várzea F.C. booed when Qijua F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luís Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Qijua F.C's Donzel Abasalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Guilherme Barreto in the 40th minute of play. Donzel Abasalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Barreto in the 41st minute of the match. After 46 minutes, Ciro Souto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Qijua F.C and the Várzea F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 47 played minutes Qijua F.C got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Souto. When Filipe Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Várzea F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Mendonça couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erling Haaland was the one to do the kick off. Donzel Abasalo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Guilherme Barreto's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Serafim Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís Vieira in the 57th minute of the match. A collision led to Várzea F.C. getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. José Maria Vaz hit a great ball. After 61 played minutes Qijua F.C got a freekick which was hit by Raik Derim. A collision led to Qijua F.C getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jairo Quintal hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Filipe Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donzel Abasalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruninho Arósio in the 71st minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Luiz Guilherme Barreto notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Qijua F.C's Donzel Abasalo. Donzel Abasalo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jarbas Rosado struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Serafim Mesquita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Qijua F.C. Várzea F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
