Werneck FC - DMZ were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Squadra Demarchi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zé Paulo Lara took the corner. After 22 minutes, Nelson Vidal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Squadra Demarchi and the Werneck FC - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 22 played minutes Squadra Demarchi got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Vidal. In the 23rd minute of the match Zé Paulo Lara shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oscar Saldanha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kléber Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Zé Paulo Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29thth minute of the game Caco Corrêa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 30 minutes, Richard Moura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Squadra Demarchi and the Werneck FC - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Werneck FC - DMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 47 minutes into the game, Squadra Demarchi's Kléber Queirós nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zé Paulo Fernandez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alexsandro Britto made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Kléber Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Paulo Fernandez was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 63 minutes into the match, Kléber Queirós had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Paulo Fernandez. Werneck FC - DMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kléber Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Werneck FC - DMZ's Zé Paulo Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexsandro Britto in the 66th minute of play. Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Squadra Demarchi from getting a goal against them. Oscar Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caco Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute Kléber Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Paulo Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
