Carrossel Caipira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bucéfalo FC the free kick. After 12 played minutes Carrossel Caipira got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Sena. In the 15th minute Paulão Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bucéfalo FC's Flavinho Braga got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, one of Bucéfalo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bucéfalo FC. Bucéfalo FC:s Pedro Luís Montenegro showed great skill when he stopped Wesley Mangueira:s penalty. After 30 minutes, Jairo Veiga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carrossel Caipira and the Bucéfalo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jairo Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Edinho da Rocha was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Flavinho Braga. 33 minutes into the match, Paulão Veiga notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bucéfalo FC's Pedro Luís Montenegro. Pedro Luís Montenegro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bucéfalo FC's Pedro Luís Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dudu Queiroz in the 45th minute of play. The Bucéfalo FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Carrossel Caipira were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wesley Mangueira to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Patrick Sena kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Luís Montenegro. That made the score 0-2 in the 52 minute of play. Pedro Luís Montenegro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wesley Mangueira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 55 minute of play. After 60 played minutes Bucéfalo FC got a freekick which was hit by Dadá Britto. The audience was convinced that Nico Godoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edinho da Rocha was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Wesley Mangueira succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 68th playminute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulão Veiga got free with Pedro Luís Montenegro in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Bucéfalo FC defense, Wesley Mangueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Luís Montenegro. The Bucéfalo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Luís Montenegro should have stopped the shot. 80 minutes into the match, Bucéfalo FC's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Montenegro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulão Veiga. In the 86th match minute, Carrossel Caipira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Urbano to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wesley Mangueira got free with Pedro Luís Montenegro in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 89 minutes into the match, Wesley Mangueira notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Bucéfalo FC's Pedro Luís Montenegro. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
