After 37 minutes, Arnaldo Duarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Compugraf and the Werneck FC - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Compugraf's Arnaldo Duarte got a free kick in the 37th minute. Pedrão Furtado lost his temper 39 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Compugraf:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Werneck FC - DMZ:s goal. The goalkeeper, Chico Fernandez, was totally fooled by Werneck FC - DMZ's Oséas Urbano, who 41 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 44 minutes into the match, Werneck FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Ramos came free, but Rafael Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Loyola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-5 lead.
