After 10 played minutes Montesclarense E.C. got a freekick which was hit by André Luiz Custódio. In the 14th minute Montesclarense E.C. were awarded a corner. Luiz Fábio Amaral went to the cornerflag to take it. Montesclarense E.C.'s Luiz Fábio Amaral was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cássio de Senna in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cássio de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiliam Damião in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, André Luiz Custódio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Poetass FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Genílson Andrade hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute Kauan Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dadá Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Benjamim Guedes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, André Luiz Custódio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cássio de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauan Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Montesclarense E.C.'s Luiz Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamim Guedes in the 41st minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudinho Saldanha to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 78thth minute of the game Kauan Guerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poetass FC's Cássio de Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benjamim Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the game, Zé Augusto Barreto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poetass FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montesclarense E.C. the free kick. The supporters of Montesclarense E.C. booed when Poetass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Augusto Barreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Kauan Guerra sped through Poetass FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cássio de Senna. When Pedro Luís Arósio fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montesclarense E.C.'s protests and gave Pedro Luís Arósio a yellow card for diving instead. Pedro Luís Arósio hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Poetass FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Kauan Guerra scored to the left of an out of position Cássio de Senna, making the score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Montesclarense E.C.'s André Luiz Custódio got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Montesclarense E.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
