The referee ignored ADM Taquaras's protests and gave Zé Madureira a yellow card for diving instead. Rony Lara's late challenge caught a ADM Taquaras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rony Lara helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th match minute, Leon Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rony Lara to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorival Fontes in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Beto Valle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 14 minutes of play, ADM Taquaras's Zé Madureira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Beto Valle was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Leon Sport Club getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Víktor Figueiredo hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Dorival Fontes made a precise shot to the right of Beto Valle. Leon Sport Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Rubinho Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wágner Mazza in the 24th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorival Fontes in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Beto Valle saved Leon Sport Club from getting behind. After 30 minutes, Wágner Mazza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leon Sport Club and the ADM Taquaras players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Dorival Fontes made a precise shot to the right of Beto Valle. Leon Sport Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Reinaldo Ferraz's late challenge caught a Leon Sport Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reinaldo Ferraz helped the player get up and apologised. Rubinho Abreu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 39th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Vladimir Tróia. In the 46th minute of the match Delfim Maia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beto Valle skillfully saved the ball. Zé Madureira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beto Valle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

In the 56th minute, Vladimir Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute of the match Zé Madureira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beto Valle skillfully saved the ball. Beto Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Fontes in the 60th minute of play. Vladimir Tróia hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind ADM Taquaras's goalkeeper Rubinho Abreu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Beto Valle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorival Fontes in the 76th minute. After 78 played minutes ADM Taquaras got a freekick which was hit by Ediberto Varela. A collision led to ADM Taquaras getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Doni dos Santos hit a great ball. Leon Sport Club's Beto Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Fontes in the 86th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Zé Madureira took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Beto Valle to make any attempt to save it. The Leon Sport Club supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching ADM Taquaras's performance. The match ended with a win for ADM Taquaras.
