With an all-out effort, SALIMEN's Waldir Moraes threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Claudinho Teixeira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Mauro Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jucazinho SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Lira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ademar Guerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Waldir Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Branco in the 20th minute of play. Claudinho Teixeira's late challenge caught a Jucazinho SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vítor Xavier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Waldir Moraes made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Branco in the 38th minute of play forced Jucazinho SC's goalkeeper Waldir Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waldir Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The SALIMEN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Jucazinho SC's Waldir Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Branco in the 77th minute of play. Waldir Moraes came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by SALIMEN's Aníbal Branco. But to his dismay, Aníbal Branco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 89th minute José Vítor Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waldir Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Branco in the 93rd minute of play. SALIMEN's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
