The supporters of Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ booed when Corinthians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jardel Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xandinho Bomba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Corinthians's Acácio Ramos got a free kick in the 67th minute. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Fernandinho Urbano put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Xandinho Bomba. Paulo Renato Faria's late challenge caught a Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
