Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tarcisio Baptista got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Leões do Sul 53 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tarcisio Baptista to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Leões do Sul 53's Marcelinho Matorin threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tarcisio Baptista, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Ronaldinho de Castro came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Leões do Sul 53 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldinho de Castro couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Mexilhão F. C. getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Gualter Albuquerque hit a great ball. Leões do Sul 53's Tarcisio Baptista got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claudinho Arósio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Marcelinho Matorin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 22nd minute, Leões do Sul 53's Ronaldinho de Castro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 25th match minute, Mexilhão F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Trevisan to maneuver through the defense. Egídio Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olívio Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Leões do Sul 53's Ronaldinho de Castro got a free kick in the 29th minute. Leões do Sul 53's Egídio Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Campidelis in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Mexilhão F. C.'s Marcelinho Matorin got control of the ball when Ronaldinho de Castro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudinho Arósio got free with Marcelinho Matorin in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Egídio Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Campidelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Tarcisio Baptista in the 52nd minute of play forced Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Marcelinho Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tarcisio Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelinho Matorin having to interfere. Claudinho Arósio hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. A collision led to Mexilhão F. C. getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Manfredo Faria hit a great ball. Marcelinho Matorin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldinho de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Reis having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Tarcisio Baptista notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Mexilhão F. C.'s Marcelinho Matorin. Marcelinho Matorin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Tarcisio Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egídio Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tarcisio Baptista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Mexilhão F. C. booed when Leões do Sul 53 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldinho de Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Leões do Sul 53 fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mexilhão F. C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
