In the 3rd minute Matías de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xandinho Bomba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Heintje Korte's late challenge caught a S.C. Corinthians Paulista's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Heintje Korte helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of S.C. Corinthians Paulista booed when Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heintje Korte didn't get a good kick on the ball. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Pedro Paulo da Fonseca managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Adriano Capixaba in the 6 minute of the game. Heintje Taffarel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fernando Figueiredo having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 11 minutes into the game, when Heintje Korte put in a rough tackle. The supporters of S.C. Corinthians Paulista booed when Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heintje Korte didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Adalberto Veloso tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Heintje Taffarel came free, but Luiz Fernando Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matías de Moraes during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 20 played minutes S.C. Corinthians Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Matías de Moraes. 25 minutes into the game, Adalberto Veloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ the free kick. A collision led to S.C. Corinthians Paulista getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Adalberto Veloso hit a great ball. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heintje Taffarel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute Diego da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xandinho Bomba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Xandinho Bomba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalberto Veloso in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Seco in the 40th minute of play forced S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to S.C. Corinthians Paulista getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Frank dos Santos hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Gugu Silva kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luiz Fernando Figueiredo. That made the score 1-0 in the 46 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gugu Silva made a kick off. 61 minutes into the match, Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's goalkeeper Xandinho Bomba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matías de Moraes. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Xandinho Bomba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego da Cunha in the 63rd minute of play. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Renato Augusto was substituted for Adriano Capixaba. In the 72nd minute Délio Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. The supporters of S.C. Corinthians Paulista booed when Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renato Augusto kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Xandinho Bomba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Veloso in the 89th minute of play. Gugu Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matías de Moraes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Xandinho Bomba made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ had won after a very even match.
