Antônio Carlos Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natanael Couto in the 17th minute of the match. Igor Rocha hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Antônio Carlos Leme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. With a little luck, Pirajiba's Basílio Cosme got control of the ball when Nelsinho do Vale tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nelson de Queiroz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pirajiba's Basílio Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Vítor Zonta in the 53rd minute of play. Edinho Tróia hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sangue nos Zóio's zone, Natanael Couto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Carlos Leme came out of the goal and Natanael Couto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Pirajiba booed when Sangue nos Zóio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nelsinho do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basílio Cosme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelsinho do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute Nelsinho do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Igor Rocha struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Basílio Cosme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sangue nos Zóio. Sangue nos Zóio made a substitution. Acácio Fernandes replaced Horácio dos Santos. 83 minutes into the match, Pirajiba's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Freire came free, but Basílio Cosme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute Nelsinho do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Emílio Andrade left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sangue nos Zóio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sangue nos Zóio had won after a very even match.
