Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nelson de Queiroz got the match started through his kick off. Luís Henrique fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Cosme having to interfere. Pirajiba's Basílio Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Henrique in the 9th minute of play. In the 11thth minute of the game Luís Henrique who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pirajiba's Basílio Cosme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 15th minute, Paulo Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 29 minutes of play, América-SC F.C.'s Luís Henrique made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basílio Cosme was left in no man's land by his defense there! Basílio Cosme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Luís Henrique managed to get in a good position for a shot. América-SC F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Henrique was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basílio Cosme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Henrique kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The Pirajiba players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. América-SC F.C. were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Henrique stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Luís Henrique took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Basílio Cosme to make any attempt to save it. Basílio Cosme made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Luís Henrique sent off a good shot on target. Paulo Antunes hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as América-SC F.C.'s Paulo Antunes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Basílio Cosme. That made the score 0-4 after 66 minutes of play. 74 minutes into the match, Pirajiba's Jairo Santana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaston Roderigo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, América-SC F.C.'s Ulysses Linares got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute, Paulo Antunes made a precise shot to the right of Basílio Cosme. Pirajiba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. The throw-in from Ian Meirelles in the 86th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Pirajiba's Rodriguinho Alvarenga. Sydney Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Paulo Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. América-SC F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Antunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basílio Cosme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to América-SC F.C. getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Alfredão Montenegro hit a great ball. Natanael Couto, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. América-SC F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
