Mário Nascimento started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Afonsinho Munhoz made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Eduardo Chaves. Roceira SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Roceira SC were furious when José Pedro Palmeira was red carded, 6 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Roceira SC! Carlos Eduardo Chaves had in the 7thth minute some difficulties stopping Gugu Ortiz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Gugu Ortiz notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Roceira SC's Carlos Eduardo Chaves. Carlos Eduardo Chaves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Roceira SC booed when Joinville United - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fernando Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Joinville United - FSCMZ's Luan de Sousa seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Luan de Sousa the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Joinville United - FSCMZ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Luan de Sousa had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Joinville United - FSCMZ's Luan de Sousa got a free kick in the 13th minute. An unexpected shot in the 19th minute by Fausto Martins got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 19 minutes into the match, Joinville United - FSCMZ's goalkeeper João Pedro Rodrigues had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fausto Martins. Joinville United - FSCMZ's João Pedro Rodrigues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Joinville United - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. Gugu Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Eduardo Chaves having to interfere. João Pedro Rodrigues made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Teles in the 25th minute. Carlos Eduardo Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Barral in the 36th minute of the match. Júlio Proença took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Pedro Rodrigues. João Pedro Rodrigues dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After 45 played minutes Roceira SC got a freekick which was hit by Hudson Falcão. After recieving a nice pass, Joinville United - FSCMZ's Gugu Ortiz tried to score from far away in the 46th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serafim Paraíba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 69th minute, Luiz Fernando Botelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Pedro Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Joinville United - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Teles came free, but João Pedro Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Pedro Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Martins in the 72nd minute of play. Carlos Eduardo Chaves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reinaldo Barral in the 74th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reinaldo Barral got free with Carlos Eduardo Chaves in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 80th minute, Júlio Proença got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Breno Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Although Roceira SC had been in control for most of the match, Joinville United - FSCMZ still came away with the win.
