Pedrinho Severo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celso Nascimento in the 7th minute. 7 minutes into the game, Aquiles Leonidas lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Pedrinho Severo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aquiles Leonidas got free with Pedrinho Severo in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Zandarin FC's Walmir Schmidt got a free kick in the 12th minute. Pedrinho Severo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celso Nascimento in the 16th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 21 minutes into the game, when Belmiro Monteiro put in a rough tackle. Belmiro Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Luís Fábio Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Secco, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chico Carneiro during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Zandarin FC booed when Flamengo FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Pedrinho Severo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Nascimento in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luiz Teles in the 60th minute of play forced Zandarin FC's goalkeeper Pedrinho Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedrinho Severo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luiz Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Walmir Schmidt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zandarin FC's attentive Reynaldo Carioca managed to snatch the ball when Armandinho Leão made a throw-in in the 64th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Flamengo FSCMZ's Osvaldinho Furtado got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 72nd minute Pedro Luiz Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho Severo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute of the match Carlos Augusto Secco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Fábio Silveira skillfully saved the ball. Flamengo FSCMZ's Luís Fábio Silveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Flamengo FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. Flamengo FSCMZ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
