The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Flamengo FSCMZ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Olympique Deleon:s goal. Luís Fábio Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Winford Parson in the 12th minute of play. Eriberto Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Flamengo FSCMZ's Luís Fábio Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc-Joel Kröger in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Winford Parson in the 29th minute of play forced Flamengo FSCMZ's goalkeeper Luís Fábio Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Luiz Teles took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kléber Lira. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celso Nascimento got free with Kléber Lira in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marc-Joel Kröger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Luís Fábio Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the match, Marc-Joel Kröger notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Flamengo FSCMZ's Luís Fábio Silveira. Luís Fábio Silveira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 77th minute Pedro Luiz Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléber Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marc-Joel Kröger hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After 87 minutes of play, Flamengo FSCMZ's Belmiro Monteiro made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kléber Lira was left in no man's land by his defense there! 2-4 became the score in the 94th minute when Eusébio Andrade elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Flamengo FSCMZ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
